2. Electrothermic method: In this method, using an electric furnace, ferrosilicomanganese is produced. In this process, raw materials including manganese, silica, iron and required alloy materials are placed in layers in the furnace. Then, by applying electric current between the electrodes, heat is produced and the oxygen in the raw materials reacts with iron and manganese and This ferroalloy is produced. This method is also used industrially and has advantages such as the ability to control the temperature and ferrosilicon concentration.

Types of ferrosilicomanganese:

Iranian ferrosilico manganese: Usually, Iranian ferrosilico-manganese production with a manganese percentage of 60 or finally 65% ​​and the amount of silica in it reaches 14%.

Imported Indian ferrosilico manganese: Usually, ferrosilico from India enters the country with a manganese percentage of 60 and 65 depending on the importer’s choice, and the amount of silica in it is 14 the lowest and 16 the highest percentage.

Imported ferrosilico manganese from Georgia: Generally, Georgian ferrosilico has a manganese percentage of 70 plus and the amount of silicon in it reaches 17-19%, therefore, it is considered one of the most famous ferroalloys of this category, although it goes without saying that the high price of this product has caused a decrease in demand.

As a result, ferrosilicon-manganese is very important as an important alloy compound in the steel and casting industry. Its unique features include increasing strength and hardness, improving corrosion and rust resistance properties, reducing melting point, and usability in various industries.
